“Subway” ?? I would rather make a tasty sandwich then a failure of a design for a simple sticker. Ask any professional visual designer with industry experience. What a joke.

#4 is drowning in a sea of mess. It looks like a mistake, an accident and like someone tried to erase it… and like a nightmare i once had.. Aside from that, i can’t read it. It’s also a printer’s worst nightmare. I think somebody must be the CEO’s niece… #3 Jared definitely conquers all. It has a message and brings obvious design knowledge to the table — oh — and did i mention that it’s creative?… it would also be very readable from a distance to better promote the brand on all applications….. this guy must be a professional art director at a dope agency….

Man MS paint wins? Justine, too bad this wasn’t for money! Then you could afford to go to school http://www.artschool.com/ SMH?!?

  • sanchosays on Jan 23, 2012 Reply

Yeah, this Jared will be pretty salty that your Microsoft Paint pic won! Doubt RA will even print that crap?

Justine, I wouldn’t be too proud of that design… Your friends should vote for a real design. Or maybe your late stay at the library on all the different IP addresses? Your photoshopping will make the RA brand look like a joke at the XGames.

It’s very obvious to anyone paying any attention to this contest that #4′s votes are being computer/bot-generated. She is literally exactly 100 votes ahead of 2nd place at all times. #3 gets a vote, #4 gets a vote immediately after. Admins should consider this upon final tally.

Let me just start by saying #4 is representative of a misguided child entering a career path that he/she was intended for. The contest buzz words clearly were ignored. ” Think you got what it takes to design some KILLER RA STICKERS? Here’s your chance to prove that to the masses and have the notoriety that comes along with it.” First off your sticker #4 is so subdued that a optometrist with 20/20 vision holding a set of projector headlamps could not forcibly see the contrast or lack-there-of within the design. Secondly, you have shamed the frivolous and overpriced world of stock photos with your “drowning athlete” imagery. My gosh, since when did being a good designer facilitate replacing logic with lethargy. And Third but not least, if you were RA Optics lead marketing director, would you put that kind of sleazeball, lazy, half hassle-hoffed branding on your quality name?? Didn’t think so bucko! Time to go back to the drawing board, not with just sticker #4, but the owners entire portfolio. Maybe try being a Vet? Oh wait, its wrong to kill animals!

    Ouch bros.

How the hell is design #4 winning?? By far the most horrid “designed” identity I have ever seen, breaks all the logical rules of communicative design. WHOAH watch out for that amateur hour clipping mask and reduced opacity drop shadow. Holy hell we learned photoshop didn’t we? Really? It’s a sticker better thrown in the trash. How bout something with contrast, something that will stand out more and play up to the brand? Try #3 for example, its better for business simply put.

That person winning there put a stock photo inside the design you already had.

I can barely see what’s going on in picture 4. It looks like a human drowning in earth.

    Cut it out, Jared.

Number three JARED (Conquer) achieves everything you want in a sticker! Great print-ability, easily read from a distance. All I can say is, GREAT JOB JARED!

Four JUSTINE (Snowboarder) is a good concept for a package logo, but won’t print well. Hard to determine what it is on a sticker. Definitely needs re-designed and have more contrast if it would be used for branding, but good start.

Number 4 gets my vote, most of the others just look like Fonts and Picasa…

  • Alicia on Jan 22, 2012 Reply

It won’t let me vote, but my vote is for jared’s!

Number 4 isn’t bad… just needs a little refinement. Very easy design to create. A little too easy. I still dig it though.

I like the simplicity of Design No. 4 yet it has an elegance about it as well.

Got something to say?
