Goggle Lines: The Big D

DESTROY in these goggles!

SPECIAL NOTICE: HALF OF ALL BIG D REVENUE BETWEEN NOW AND FEBRUARY 12TH WILL GO TO SUPPORT RAVI’S ATHLETIC PURSUITS.

Why the name? Because you will DESTROY in these goggles! Relationships? Shattered. Bunny slopes? More like bunny stew. The pride of every other rider? Running home to mama.

You’ll leave a wake of destruction in your path. Forget about it.

The Big D has something rarely found in goggles. It uses a mesh vent system, which hands down out performs the foam systems found standard in other goggle brands.

Why is mesh better? It boosts the visual clarity and the anti-fog capabilities of goggles by increasing airflow while not absorbing water.

Foam absorbs and holds water. Mesh doesn’t. Very simple.

So why is mesh so uncommon in goggle vent systems? Turns out mesh and goggle frames are made of some of the most complex materials in the world to adhere together for use in ultra-cold and wet conditions- like on snowy mountains. The process is expensive, and there’s only one perfect adhesive. And Ra has it. In fact, we are so guarded of this technology, we build the mesh venting technology into our Big D lines by hand in-house ourselves in Portland, Oregon- right near Mt. Hood.

Combine greater airflow and less water absorption with Ra’s 360-degree vent system, and you’re gonna have goggles that just work beautifully.

Ra uses a ton of the same tech in the Big D that you’ll find in all of our goggle lines. There are certain functions that always make sense because they just maximize performance for all skill levels and mountain conditions.

Like the ultra-wide curvature for supreme peripheral vision you’ll find in all Ra goggles, including the Big D. Bolting down the mountain already causes all sorts of tunnel-vision problems, but with the ultra-wide lens, you’re gonna have a much better view of your surroundings.

The Big D uses the same high quality three-layered face foam as the Ra Performance and Panorama lines. It’s extra cushiony so the goggles will comfortably conform around both narrow and round faces.

The triple lining of silicone across the Big D strap is an amazing. It keeps the strap from sliding around without pulling or tangling hair. It also works well with beanies and helmets.

What’s really cool is the double-pane mirrored lenses. The vision is ultra clear, but your photos are gonna be EPIC with the color mirrored lenses!

In short, if you want rare and premiere anti-fog tech that’ll provide an amazing visual experience on the mountains, then you should go with the Big D by Ra Optics.

Not only do these goggles look super bad ass but the quality from the lens to the frame is really remarkable!
